## Highlights

- Recover missing native tools without leaving the Workspace. Kavor can now guide Git and Coding Agent provider
  installation, show live progress and actionable failures, then refresh detection without requiring an
  application restart.
- Choose a global `Auto`, `Full`, or `Reduced` performance profile. `Auto` preserves operational feedback while
  reducing optional effects when the operating system requests reduced motion or Chromium falls back to software
  rendering.
- Manage application updates directly from Settings with one consistent status, an explicit update check, and
  the permanent manual-download fallback. Persistent Header and Settings badges keep an available update visible
  while it downloads and until it is ready to install.
- Receive an optional bounded plain-text preview of the latest Coding Agent response in operating-system
  notifications when the provider supplies one. The privacy setting can disable response content for machines
  where notifications may appear on the lock screen.
- Start, stop, restart, and configure a Coding Agent from its Node. Renaming a Node now synchronizes the
  provider-native session name when that provider supports it.
- Download substantially leaner desktop packages. Packaging now removes unused locales, development artifacts,
  source maps, tests, and native binaries for other operating systems while retaining the required production
  runtime and third-party notices.

## Fixes

- Reworked Terminal and Coding Agent output delivery with bounded backpressure, ordered batches, attachment-scoped
  acknowledgements, and final exit checkpoints. Large output bursts no longer starve input, resize, close, or
  acknowledgement traffic, and stale attachments cannot consume output from a newer presentation.
- Improved Terminal and Coding Agent presentation during Canvas pan, zoom, remount, and startup. Interactive PTY
  surfaces remain anchored without inheriting the zoomed Canvas compositor, and hydrated content is revealed only
  after its authoritative checkpoint has been painted.
- Prevented transparent Canvas decorations and Locate effects from being treated as opaque occluders, keeping
  Terminal and Coding Agent portals visible and interactive during focus transitions.
- Corrected Canvas Node placement and drag previews at every zoom level, including when the viewport changes while
  the pointer remains stationary.
- Removed stale asynchronous Git results when switching Workspaces, repositories, or Coding Agent targets, and
  limited repository controls to valid repositories. Concurrent Git views now share discovery and coalesce
  redundant state and reference scans.
- Made native-tool refresh atomic across the Electron main process and Process Host. Newly installed Git and
  Coding Agent executables are detected from a fresh environment without leaving one process on an older `PATH`.
- Hardened Windows behavior for PowerShell context hooks, environment propagation, User-local Git and `winget`
  discovery, and repeated or concurrent Job Object initialization.
- Improved Coding Agent recovery with immediate installer feedback, retry and manual-install actions, fresh
  provider detection, and explicit startup errors when a provider exits before its Terminal can be presented.
- Isolated and bounded asynchronous provider activity per Coding Agent session so late or stalled reports cannot
  update a replacement session. Antigravity response previews reject stale and unrelated transcript entries.
- Preserved a Terminal Node when process teardown fails during deletion, and closed its process before removing
  the Node when teardown succeeds.
- Kept Sticky Note content revisions independent from concurrent Canvas movement and resizing.
- Prevented competing update checks and stale initial update state from overwriting newer availability,
  download, or error events.
- Smoothed Authentication, onboarding, Workspace activation, and Canvas startup handoffs so application content
  no longer flashes or falls through to a blank intermediate scene.
- Separated development and packaged application profiles. Development now uses isolated SQLite data,
  credentials, window state, cookies, cache, and Browser storage instead of opening the production profile.
- Closed idle Codex app-server connections deterministically after the final session releases them.
- Made anonymous startup Analytics delivery resilient to renderer reloads and temporary network failures while
  keeping detailed Analytics and Performance collection controlled by the User setting. Workspace content,
  prompts, commands, paths, Terminal output, and Authentication identity remain excluded.

## Installation

Download Kavor from <https://download.agentkavor.com>. The page detects the current platform and also exposes all
available packages.

- Windows x64 uses the assisted per-User NSIS installer. The installer is currently unsigned, so Microsoft
  SmartScreen may require explicit confirmation.
- macOS 13+ provides separate arm64 and x64 DMGs. Builds are ad-hoc signed but not notarized; follow the download
  page's Gatekeeper instructions and install updates manually. Replacing an ad-hoc build may cause macOS to
  request access to `Kavor Safe Storage` in Keychain again.
- Linux x64 provides AppImage and DEB packages. AppImage supports Kavor-managed updates; DEB updates are installed
  manually from the download page.

## Known limitations

- Windows ARM64 and Linux ARM64 packages are not included until their native PTY, SQLite, process-containment,
  and packaged-runtime gates can run on matching CI environments.
- Windows direct downloads do not yet have an Authenticode publisher certificate.
- macOS automatic installation remains disabled until Kavor has Developer ID signing and notarization.
- Microsoft Store distribution is not part of this release.
